Three Students Selected for PMEA District Honors Ensembles

Three Upper School musicians have been selected for Pennsylvania Music Educators Association (PMEA) District Honors Ensembles.

After completing the audition process, Hailey Deng ’25 (clarinet) earned a seat in the 2024-25 PMEA District 12 Band. Annie Le ’27 (violin) and Brian Lee ’26 (cello) earned seats in the District 12 Orchestra.

"Our talented and dedicated student musicians were among 400 students competing for seats in these honors ensembles," explained Band Director Ryan Dankanich, Hon.  "We are proud of this accomplishment and thrilled that EA is well-represented."

PEMA District 12 represents public and independent schools in Chester, Delaware, and Philadelphia counties.

The orchestra will practice and perform at Haverford High School on Jan. 10-11. The band will rehearse and perform at Oxford High School on Jan. 24-25.
