Sprinter Abaas Hunter '26 Featured on 6ABC

Senior sprinter Abaas Hunter '26 was featured on 6ABC on Monday, May 18, for his accomplishments on the track and in the classroom.

During his four years at EA, Abaas rewrote the record books as he set more than twenty records during his indoor and spring track seasons.

"It's really just mental and execution," Abaas explained to 6ABC reporter Jason Dumas. "Once you grasp those two things and you are able to compete against those top athletes, it just becomes easy as you go on."

Abaas earned one of this year's Inter-Ac Directors' Awards earlier in May. He will continue his running career at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
