Five EA Middle School singers were selected for this year's Pennsylvania Music Educators Association (PMEA) District 12 Choral Festival.
The students spent Friday, Feb. 24, at Radnor Middle School, where they rehearsed and performed with more than 100 of the district's top singers from 24 schools.
John Bailer '28, Charlie Casey '27, Ainsley Hixson '27, Emily Rieck '27, and Samantha Slye '27 were selected for the festival.
Middle School Music Teacher Jayne Borras has been working with the students all year and accompanied them to the festival.
"I enjoyed meeting new people and experiencing the singing community. I learned that even people from all over, with different backgrounds and stories, can come together and make music," said Emily.
"It was nice to meet all the other students," said Charlie. "I had never sung in a choir that large and was surprised with how much the experience varies based on the size. Overall, a great experience!"
The festival conductor was Dr. Marci Major from West Chester University.
