Student-Musicians Perform at PMEA Chester County 5/6 Band Fest

Eight EA fifth and sixth graders participated in the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association (PMEA) Chester County Band Fest.

"The student-musicians enjoyed the opportunity to perform with other young musicians from 23 Chester County elementary and middle schools," explained Lower School Music Teacher Deb Newnham, Hon.

EA participants included 5th graders Xunnan Dang, Neo Wang, Hope Varga, and Ishaan Wani, along with 6th graders Victor Tsai, Leo Wang, Zach Chen, and Aubrey Whitman.

"Since November, our students have been preparing six concert selections for the festival," said Mrs. Newnham. "They enjoyed the opportunity to perform with 100 other young musicians from area schools."

The festival was held at West Chester East High School on Friday, Feb. 2.
