Lunar New Year is one of the most important celebrations of the year among the Asian diaspora including Singaporean, Vietnamese and Chinese communities, among others. The diverse customs of Lunar New Year include feasting, exchanging gifts, lighting exquisite lanterns, and making offerings to gods and ancestors.

Lunar New Year Celebration at Main Line Art Center (Saturday, Jan. 25, 12-2 p.m.) — Join the Main Line Art Center for a Lunar New Year celebration and usher in the year of the Snake! Enjoy hands-on art activities for all ages, a performance of the iconic Lion Dance by the Philadelphia Suns and a martial arts demonstration by Traditional Wing Chun Kung Fu Academy of Philadelphia. Lunar New Year Family Festival at Philadelphia Museum of Art (Sunday, Feb. 9, 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.) — Ring in the Year of the Snake at the Philadelphia Museum of Art!
