Girls' Golf Wins 5th Consecutive Inter-Ac & 3rd PAISAA Championship

The five-peat is complete for girls' golf as the team won its fifth consecutive Inter-Ac Championship. Julia Griffin '28 finished second at the individual championship match.

On Monday, May 11, the squad won its third consecutive PAISAA Championship at Radley Run Country Club. Julia played to second place, Marietta Hartman '27 followed in third.

The squad finished up regular season play 3-2. In the final match at Overbrook Country Club on April 27, the girls notched the win with a score of 221.

"The mindset for the day was 'team first,' and they did just that," said Coach Bert Howlin, Hon. "They had scores of 41, 42, 45, 46, 47; having scores so close together brought the win!"

The top scores for the regular season were Julia (39) and Marietta Hartman (41).

Six EA players qualified for the Inter-Ac Individual Championship played at Sandy Run Golf Club on Tuesday, May 5. Julia was EA's highest finisher for the day (38). Marietta, Hadley Stetson '27, Muriel Fitz-Kaltemeier '27, CJ Nichols '27, and Charlotte Franklin 26 also played for EA.

Marietta, Hadley, Muriel, CJ, and Julia competed in the PAISAA championships in both the team and individual competitions.
