Executive Director, Center for Teaching and Learning

The Center for Teaching and Learning at Episcopal Academy, a 1,275-student, PK-12 day school outside of Philadelphia, seeks an Executive Director to begin in July 2023. EA’s Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL), established in 2017, provides personalized support to spark collaboration and inspire innovation in the classroom through on-campus, on-demand professional development for the school's 190 faculty.

The Executive Director will assume leadership of a 4-member team, intentionally and proactively establishing the CTL as a source of expertise and inspiration and a go-to resource for professional growth; building internal and external partnerships that support teacher development; and providing thought partnership and resource/material curation/sourcing.

This critical, named position is made possible through the generosity of Buck ’78 and Susan Buckley, who established The Buckley Executive Director Chair for Teaching and Learning Fund. The fund was established in appreciation of the many Episcopal teachers and coaches who positively influenced their family over the years. The Buckley family believes strongly that the Executive Director will serve as the school's ultimate coach and the driving force behind the growth and development of Episcopal’s Center for Teaching and Learning and, most importantly, the school’s outstanding faculty.

A full position description will be available soon. In the meantime, candidates are invited to contact the consultants in confidence at karen.whitaker@carneysandoe.com and marsha.little@carneysandoe.com.
