Matt Memmo, Chair of Episcopal's new Computer Science and Engineering Department (CS&E), has been named one of Main Line Today's Top Teachers.
Mr. Memmo began his career at EA as a technology coordinator. In 2006, he shifted into the classroom to teach AP computer science. "I really fell in love with teaching and the relationship with students," shared Mr. Memmo.
Over the last 12 years, Mr. Memmo has worked with Upper School students on independent study projects, assisted with the annual EA/Haverford/AIS video, and taught the Textiles and Tech Styles JTerm course. He is also a sought-after advisor.
In the spring, Mr. Memmo was selected to chair the Computer Science and Engineering Department. "Matt is a gifted teacher, advisor, and mentor who is well-loved by students for his positivity and engaging teaching style," shared Greville Haslam Head of School Dr. T.J. Locke.
