Four Lower School students participated in the 2019 Pennsylvania Music Educators Association (PMEA) District 12 Elementary Chorus Festival on Thursday, February 14.
Fifth graders Shelby Brehman, Mia Ganzhorn, Aidan Neary, and Cooper Romanczuk joined more than 100 students from schools in Delaware and Chester County for a day of rehearsals. The day concluded with an evening concert at Downingtown East High School.
Lower School music teacher Janet Albrycht, Hon. helped prepare EA students for the festival. "The music was learned at EA before school and then the students rehearsed with a high level conductor during the festival," explained Mrs. Albrycht. "The concert of the learned repertoire was beautifully presented at the evening concert."
Dr. Elizabeth Parker, from Temple University, conducted this year's concert.
