Fourteen Upper School students traveled to Boston for the 50th Berklee College of Music High School Jazz Festival.
Members of the EA Jazz Ensemble kicked off the weekend with a performance by Jaimeo Brown - Transcendence at Scullers Jazz Club.
On Saturday, the group performed in the festival where they also received feedback from Berklee professors.
Two-hundred twenty five high school ensembles from around the country and Puerto Rico participated in the event which included workshops and performances by Berklee College ensembles, Ellis Marsalis, and Delfeayo Marsalis.
EA students who participated in the festival include: Anya Kohli, Olivia Cipperman, Michael Bai, Nina Petillo, Daniel Hu, Rishab Nandan, Tommy Kan, Tommy Lorenson, Benjamin Bryant, Declan Doherty, Neera Raychaudhuri, Chris Lo, Vlad Puskovitch, and Mary Cipperman.
The High School Jazz Festival took place February 9-11.
