The Inter-Academic Athletic League has selected this year's student-athlete Inter-Ac Directors' Award winners.
Multi-sport athletes Jake Jaszcz '22 and Alexa Capozzoli '22 were named the winners for EA.
Jake has played on the football, basketball, and baseball teams and was a tri-captain his senior season. "One of my favorite parts of being a student-athlete is not only that you have to work hard in the classroom, but you also have to stay focused and locked into your practice," shared Jake. "Learning how to balance that here at Episcopal is something that I thought was key when I first came."
Alexa Capozzoli has been a standout player on the soccer and lacrosse teams. She is the co-captain of the lacrosse team and scored her 100th career goal early in the season. "Winning the Inter-Ac my freshman year, with the lacrosse team, is always one of my top memories," recalled Alexa. "The Inter-Ac is so competitive always, and it pushes me to be a better person and athlete."The winners of this year's Inter-Ac Directors' awards were celebrated during a virtual event on Thursday, May 12.
