Grease Production Receives 15 Independence Award Nominations

The cast in the Domino Club's spring production of Grease has received 15 Philadelphia Independence Awards nominations.

"We are very excited to top off what felt like a very special performance by being honored with these nominations," said Theater and Dance Department Chair Dan Clay. "I'm very happy for all of the nominees, and I'm especially proud that we have been nominated for Best Ensemble and Best Musical because those are acknowledgements that the entire cast and crew share as a result of the great work that they did together."

The Philadelphia Independence Awards for High School Musical Theater will be held on Monday, May 21, at 7 p.m. at the Temple University Performing Arts Center.

The Philadelphia Independence Awards were created by high school theater teachers and directors for the purpose of sharing and awarding outstanding student theater performances and productions in the Philadelphia region. Over 20 awards will be given in both performing and non-performing categories.

The Domino Club's production of Grease took place April 27-28 in the Mainstage Theater.
