The Girls' Varsity 4X won first place at the National Schools Championship Regatta on Sunday, June 10.
Episcopal entered two boats in the competition.
In the finals, the Girls' Varsity 4X (stroke Josephine Konopka '18, Morgan Gantt '19, Allison Lee '19, and Brooke Kraftson '19) won with a time of 5:14.030. The team beat rival Conestoga High School by nearly four seconds.
The Boys' Varsity 4+ (stroke Ian Reape '20, Harry Pusey '19, Owen Maier '20, Billy Stavropoulos '20, and coxswain Schuyler Kresge '18) placed 4th in its heat with a time of 5:06.640 and narrowly missed advancing to the finals.
The National Schools Championship Regatta took place on the Schuylkill River.
