The girls' winter track team is preparing to compete in the DELCO Indoor Championships on Monday, Jan. 17 after several successful meets.
The team traveled to New York on Saturday, Jan. 8 for The Freedom Games.
In the team's second competition of the season, there were nine personal bests achieved. Three EA runners also won their heats- Cate Curatolo '24 - 55m, Ella Becket '25 - 300m, and Ava Roberts '24 -1000m.
Sophomore Saige Forbes' '24 - 300m race (43.95) placed her 13th overall in a field of 120. This was Sage's first time competing in the 300m. Her time is only (.14) shy of the school record. She has already reset the 60m record (7.98).
The team kicked off the season at Alvernia University on Dec. 10- winning medals in the 60m and the 4 x 200m. Performances by Saige Forbes (60m) and Erinne Bresler '23 (Pole Vault) automatically qualified them for the DVGTCA Meet of Champions in mid-February.
