Girls' Lacrosse Wins Inter-Ac Title

The varsity girls' lacrosse team has won the Inter-Ac title. The team ended Inter-Ac play with a win against Penn Charter (16-3) on Wednesday, May 17.

The squad lost only one league game in overtime to rival Agnes Irwin in April (11-12). On May 1, the team beat the owls (10-8). EA and AIS will share this year's Inter-Ac title.

The team's league record for the season is 11-1, 16-6 overall.

"Winning the Inter-Ac this year wasn't about any one single big win, but instead a reflection on our journey and growth together over the last three months," said Varsity Head Coach Josie Ferri-Tomaino. "I am so proud of our transformation since our first practice, on both an individual and team level."

This marks the second consecutive year that the girls have won the Inter-Ac title. Over the last 19 years, EA has won the title 16 times.

The team kicks-off play in the PAISAA tournament on Saturday, May 19.
