EA field hockey is the winner of this year's Inter-Ac Championship.
"We are thrilled to capture the 2019 Inter-Ac Field Hockey title," said Varsity Coach Gina Buggy, Hon. "Winning the Inter-Ac is always our primary goal. We were able to accomplish this lofty goal thanks to a lot of hard work and unselfish play and leadership from our seniors."
The team most recently beat rival Academy of Notre Dame (3-2) on Thursday, Oct. 24. and Penn Charter (4-0) on Monday, Oct. 28. The team is currently 8-0 in league play and 16-1-1 overall for the season.
"The next two weeks should be an exciting culmination to a successful 2019 field hockey season," said Coach Buggy. "This team continues to work hard in search of a win on EA/AIS Day and on trying to capture another PAISAA title." The first round of the Pennsylvania Independent Schools Athletic Association (PAISAA) championships is on Friday, Nov. 1 against Springside Chestnut Hill Academy.
This marks the 13th Inter-Ac title for EA field hockey under Coach Buggy.
