Field Hockey Wins 3rd Consecutive PAISAA Championship

EA field hockey won its third consecutive PAISAA Championship against The Hill School on Wednesday, Nov. 17 at the Proving Grounds.

Thirty seconds into the game Hill scored first. In the second quarter, EA senior Macy Szukics fired in two goals for EA to make it 2-1.

Hill tied things up with five minutes left to play. In the final minute, Mia Garber '22 fed a perfect pass to Ashley Sessna who shot in the winner.

"Mia had a really good interception off the goalie and a pass, and then I just got it and saw the opening where the goalie wasn't set," Ashley explained to PA Prep Live.

The team beat Hill (3-4) in 2019 to win the state championship. In 2018, EA field hockey beat Germantown Academy (4-3) after a shootout. The PAISAA tournament was not held last season.

EA's Inter-Ac and state championship team ends the season 19-1 and ranked #3 in Max Field Hockey's national rankings.
