Dancers from area Inter-Ac and independent schools came together for the second annual Inter-Ac Dance Festival on Wednesday, February 13.
Seventy-seven students from EA, Penn Charter, The Agnes Irwin School , Villa Maria Academy, and Notre Dame took part in the event. Dance performances included: ballet, jazz, contemporary, modern, musical theater, and tap.
"The festival included a master class for all of the dancers," explained EA Dance Director, Cara Lavallee. "The style was a modern jazz with guest artist Jess Adams, an aerialist and company member with the Philadelphia-based dance company, Project Moshen."
Student dancers received immediate feedback from dance professionals about their performances.
"The objective of the Inter-Ac Dance Festival is to create connections between dancers from various independent schools and promote an appreciation for dance within our school communities," said Ms. Lavallee. "We look forward to growing the festival and including more schools next year."
