EA football was recently featured in the Delaware County Daily Times for its use of a drone to capture practice and game video.
Head Coach Todd Fairlie told the Daily Times, "For practice, it's a great tool. We used to have to set up our end zone camera every day and get up in the pressbox. It basically flies itself in a lot of ways. The view is unbelievable, and it really allows us to understand spacing and get great footage every day."
Most days, freshman William Goodman is behind the controls of the Mavic Pro quadcopter.
Senior linebacker Matt Bush shared with the Daily Tines, "It's different because you see literally everything. When you have the tight film on the sideline, sometimes the camera messes up and you won't see certain things, but there, it's literally all there."
"I think it's a great teaching tool," shared Coach Fairlie. "And a great way to educate the kids on a lot of things."
