31 Students Recognized by National Merit Scholarship Program

Thirty-one EA seniors have earned recognition in the 65th annual National Merit Scholarship Program.

Seventeen EA students achieved National Merit Semifinalist status. They include: Jocelyn Andrews, Michael Bai, Neil Bam, Lauren Bassett, Daniel Ghaderi, Daniel Hu, Sarah Huang, Nikhil Kakarla, Karissa Lim, Rishab Nandan, Sejin Park, Dhruv Raman, Neera Raychaudhuri, Sameer Saxena, Aarushi Singh, Raunaq Singh, and Stephen Staid.

The Semifinalists are among 16,000 students nationwide chosen to compete for the National Merit Finalist level and Merit Scholarship Competition. Students qualify for semifinalist recognition by their 2018 PSAT results.

An additional 14 EA seniors have been selected as Commended Students. They include: Sean Appaneal, Louisa Baxter, Cayla Beaulieu, Justin Chen, Grace Haupt, Kate Hershey, Tom Hogan, Owen Maier, Adam Mauch, Jack Rebillard, Caroline Vander, Brendan Voelker, Glay Yang, and Tina Yang.
