2023-2024 Season recap (12-10)
The season was filled with individual tournaments and dual meets as the team landed in 3rd place in the Inter-Ac. The highlight of the season was a dramatic come-from-behind win over Haverford in the final meet of the season. Twelve EA grapplers made it to the state tournament and six earned medals. Captain Fernando Loor finished his EA career with 97 wins.
2022-2023 Season recap (12-13)
EA’s young wrestling team notched some big league wins over SCH and GA during a competitive season. The squad wrestled dual meet tournaments to gain mat experience, along with individual tournaments. A season highlight was a dramatic come-from-behind win against The Lawrenceville School in front of an enthusiastic EA crowd. At the prestigious Prep Slam at Holy Innocents Episcopal School in Atlanta, freshman Jack Signor took 3rd, and senior Vern Holley took 4th. The team also traveled to CT for the Brunswick Invitational where they took 4th as a team. Top finishers included a 4th place finish for Dorian Dabney, 3rd for Jack Bonner ’23 and Danny Hopkins ’25, 2nd place for Vern Holley and Will Hohn ’23, along with Championship medals for Jack Signor ’26, Fernando Loor ’24 and Victor Coleman ’23.
