What is Starfest?
Starfest is the EAPA's best event of the year and our largest fundraiser. It will be held on Saturday, March 11, 2023, from 6-10 p.m. on campus at the Dougherty Field House. We will celebrate Starfest 2023 with a fun-filled evening featuring your favorite casino games and games of chance. We will have great food and drinks, live DJ music, exciting raffles, live and silent auction prizes, and much more. We look forward to making this our most successful fundraiser of the year. All proceeds will make an immediate positive impact on the Episcopal Academy community.
What is the theme?
The theme is Casino and Game Night. All gaming is complimentary and for entertainment purposes only. No gambling or cash prizes per PA law. Games include: Blackjack, Poker, Double Roulette, Big 6 Wheel, and Craps. Games of chance will also be offered.
What if someone has never played before?
The professional card dealers are more than happy to teach the games to novices or give pointers to those more experienced. In all cases, the dealers will have everyone playing all the games and having fun.
What is the schedule of the evening?
The evening festivities begin at 6 p.m. with a cocktail hour, music, and passed hors-d'oeuvres. You can mingle with friends as you bid on silent auction items. At 7 p.m. you can try your hand at various casino games. There will be a short program as well as a live auction which will conclude at 9:30 p.m. We hope people will socialize and relax to close out the night.
How does the Virtual Auction work?
The Virtual Auction will include the grade specific class baskets along with other items graciously donated by the community. The online auction is now live and will close on Sunday, March 12 at 5 p.m. You will be able to bid on auction items and you will be notified if you are outbid. Credit Card information is required to bid; however, you will have the option to pay cash, check, or credit card at the end of the auction. You do NOT need to be present to bid.
What type of items will be offered in the Virtual Auction?
Many quality EA-themed items as well as one-of-a-kind experiences will be available during the virtual auction. Sneak previews will be posted on Social Media. Follow us @eaparentsassoc

How do I buy tickets?

May I buy tickets at the door?
Unfortunately, tickets will NOT be available at the door. Please purchase your tickets early.
How does seating work?
This is a casual event, with various game tables. We will have fun food stations, a full, open bar, and passed hors-d'oeuvres in lieu of a formal sit down dinner.
I (or my company) would like to sponsor the event. How do I do that?

What is the dress code?
Casino Casual. Dress comfortably for a night of games and fun!
Where do I park?
Self parking will be available in any of the campus lots.
Are children allowed?
This is an adult-only evening. Enjoy a night out and meet new friends.
Can I bring friends and family outside of Episcopal Academy?
Yes! Please invite your friends and family and show them how great our EA community truly is.
How can I contribute to the event?
The best way to contribute is by purchasing tickets and attending! If you cannot attend but would like to contribute, please consider becoming an official sponsor, funding a faculty or staff ticket to the event, or simply making a tax deductible donation to the EAPA.
What do donations and sponsorships support?
All proceeds go directly to support educational programs, faculty professional development, student financial aid, as well as EAPA-sponsored programs.
