Aggie Malter, Director of External Programs

Aggie has been an educator and administrator, working with faculty and students from PreK to University, for almost 30 years. Early in her career, she was the Assistant Dean of Students at a local university after working as an Admission Counselor. She then moved on to a non-profit organization and finally an independent school for many years, most recently serving as the Director of Information Services and the Director of the Summer Program. She has created a wide variety of after-school, summer, holiday, and Saturday programs for students of all ages, and launched The Episcopal Academy Aquatic Club, The Squash Club at The Episcopal Academy, and The Dixon Athletic Center at The Episcopal Academy last year. A true lifelong learner, Aggie is continuing her studies in a doctoral program in school administration and brings considerable academic and entrepreneurial experience to this position and to these programs at EA..

 

Alex Thompson, Director of Summer at EA

Alex has been in education for her entire career working in both independent schools and public schools. She has worked with students as a math specialist at two local elementary schools and taught math, English, and technology courses to middle and upper school boys at an independent boarding school. Alex has been involved in summer programs with the Children's International Summer Villages where she traveled with students to Italy, Norway, and Brazil and has most recently spent her summers as the assistant director of a summer day program in the area. A doctoral student, Alex has both academic foundation and real world experience to lead this program at EA.

 

 

Kim Farrell, Assistant Director of Summer at EA

Kim has a long history with The Episcopal Academy as a member of the first class to graduate young women and, most recently, as a veteran faculty member in lower school. Kim has taught technology courses for lower school students from grades K-5 and has worked on special projects such as scheduling and curriculum mapping. An avid sports and fitness enthusiast, Kim is a decorated three sport athlete and was inducted into The Episcopal Academy Athletic Hall of Fame. Kim has spent the past 15 years working with students of all ages in academic, athletic, enrichment, and technology activities in summer camps and programs.

 

 

Ellie Duffy, Administrative Assistant for Summer at EA

A true "people person," Ellie is likely to be the person you speak to when you call the Summer at EA phone number, and she will have the answers to all your questions! She has worked in customer service positions for her entire career, and her experience in independent schools and summer programs has prepared her well for her role here.
