Cross Bridge Scholars

About the Program

The Cross Bridge Scholars Program is an academically rigorous enrichment program designed to build a unique collaborative learning program among a group of students from the Honickman Learning Center Comcast Technology Labs’ Teen Program in North Philadelphia and Episcopal Academy in Newtown Square. The Cross Bridge Scholars Program challenges students on the issues of race, class, culture and mass media in an effort to gain further understanding of their communities. Scholars discuss these topics through a wide variety of technology-based projects that emphasize writing, culture, media and race studies.

The group meets on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons and one Saturday a month during the fall and winter sports seasons. If you are interested in being nominated to be a Cross Bridge Scholars, please contact the program’s Coordinator, Sam Willis, at Episcopal Academy.
