St. David's Road Bridge Closed Until November
Posted August 15, 2012
PennDOT’s rehabilitation of the 202-year-old St. David’s Road Bridge will keep the bridge closed until November 2012.
The ongoing construction will affect the commute to Episcopal Academy during the first couple months of the school year, so all students, faculty, staff, and visitors should allot themselves some extra travel time until the construction project is completed.
The PennDOT-posted detour diverts traffic from Darby-Paoli Road to Goshen Road to Route 252 in order to bypass the construction activity.
PennDOT is rebuilding the deteriorated bridge walls, reinforcing the deck, reinforcing the foundation underneath the support abutments, performing masonry repairs and installing new guide rail.
