Lizzie King '17 and Conner Delaney '17 are recipients of this year's Delaware County "Good Citizenship Award."
The students, who live in the 7th Congressional District, were recognized by Representative Pat Meehan.
Rep. Meehan has started a tradition of honoring and cultivating the scholarship of young leaders within area schools. The award is given to a male and female student who best exhibit characteristics of leadership, courage, and scholarship.
"Conner displays all the characteristics of this award and has been a scholar and a leader for EA's Class of 2017," shared Form Dean Sam Willis. "He represents all of the Stripes and qualities that we value at EA."
"Lizzie also displays the qualities of this award and has shown courageous leadership this year," said Willis. "In part, Lizzie embraced art as a vessel to challenge societal issues and force the EA community to have meaningful conversations. She also represents all the characteristics we value in EA students."
