JTerm 4.0: Two Weeks of Experiential Learning

JTerm 4.0 is in full swing, and EA's Upper School students are fully immersed in their two-week courses, which range from Art rEvolution to Comparative Anatomy, and Innovations with K'NEX to Textiles and Tech Styles.

This year, 31 on-campus courses are being offered, plus trips to Haiti, Cuba, Costa Rica, and Montana's Glacier National Park.

This is the fourth year of EA's JTerm program. The two-week mini-term falls between the fall and spring semesters and allows students to focus all of their time on one inter-disciplinary class.

"The courses are some of the best examples of education that I have ever seen in my career," said Greville Haslam Head of School Dr. T.J. Locke. "The experiences are so deep and rich that they are pretty special. I think that really separates EA from other schools."

Inspiring, impactful, rigorous, fun, and mind-opening are how some students describe their JTerm experience.

"It has far exceeded anything I would have ever imagined it could do for our community, for our teachers, and for our students," shared Assistant Head of School Dr. Cathy Hall. "The diversity of projects and ideas is tremendous."
