Why is it important to teach music to young children?

Teaching music is integral to educating the whole child. Music is the soul of our society. Developing a child's singing voice builds confidence and character. Furthermore, music education nurtures tonal and rhythm audiation that is critical to sound discrimination.

As Plato said, "I would teach children music, physics, and philosophy; but most importantly music, for the patterns in music and all the arts are the keys to learning."
