EA 8th grader Daniel Kane and his KAU Little League team played in the finals of the USA championship at the Junior League Baseball World Series.
Kane's two-run double in the first inning and solo homer in the sixth led the KAU Little League Junior Stars from Kennett Square to a 5-2 win over Rutherford County, North Carolina on Wednesday, August 16.
The win designated the USA East champions as the only undefeated team (2-0) in the USA Pool. They played in the championship game against Chinese Taipei on Sunday, August 20 in Taylor, Michigan. Chinese Taipei won its fifth consecutive title, beating the Kennett Square team 12-1.
