You will be going on a virtual (online) tour of Historic Philadelphia. You will visit the Independence Hall, the Liberty Bell, Christ Church, Christ Church Burial Ground and Franklin Court.

As you visit each place, you will use the information provided on the webpages to answer questions.

1. Click here or go to the site (bookmarked in your browser called Historic Mile  http://www.ushistory.org/tour/index.html) to go to the first page of the Virtual Tour of Historic Philadelphia. You will notice that when you scroll down the page there is an index or a list of all the places you can visit (they are written in red). Click on the link for the Independence Hall.  Independence Hall was built in 1732. What was Independence Hall originally used for?
