Aides excellent online tutorial to help teachers create online activities
with very little technical knowledge. Select your level, depending on how well
you can create Web pages; online activities and exercises such as crosswords,
cloze, mazes, word searches. Click on Beginners
to learn more. Intermediate includes
free software such as Hot Potatoes; Cloze masters to make different types of
online activities.

to access a large menu of topics. Put
pointer on topic and subtopics then click to access excellent visuals and audio
exercises.
- E.L Easton Languages
Online: scroll down to select language (French, German, Italian,
Spanish and more). Select “test your (Language)” for many online
tutorials; choose “exercises and tests” for multiple links. Click on “make
your own tests” to access rubrics and online test generators.

Page, for online language lessons, translating dictionaries, native literature,
translation services, software, language schools and more. Type in language of choice for options;
Spanish, 631 related sites; French, 463 sites; German, 373; 278, Italian,
199 Latin; mandarin Chinese, 7;Yiddish, 16; Hebrew, 47 sites.
- Vocabulary
Training: French, Spanish, German. Select a topic then click to
access; select language under study and scroll down for directions on how
to proceed. To practice, click on New word, then type in
response. As a study guide, click
on TEST to learn the items before taking the test officially.
- Pdictionary.com
select a language from this Pdictionary site for online vocabulary in
French, Spanish, Italian and German: choose by category; letters A-Z then
select activities for recall including flashcards, fill-in-the-blanks,
word scramble and straight recall.

Personal Educational
Press create worksheets, make
flashcards, word lists, bingo cards, study sheets, quizzes, tracing, word
scrambles, word searches and
big signs in French, Spanish, and German. They have categories twenty or more
categories to choose from.
- The Online Books
Page: Archives On-Line
Books Page: The primary site for thousands of on-line books and other
documents and for repositories of on-line books and printed material.
Scroll down to Specialty or Foreign language repositories (including
French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian and Greek and Latin) and
click on sites of interest. You may also search by author or title as well
as by subject listing at top of page.
1. Read the activities below in the Art and Literature Projects for French
Classes and slot in examples from your language of choice
2. Literary
Selection Swap:
Students or teacher: pull up a particularly rich example of a description, or
select a recitation in the past or future or find a short selection using a
tense such as the past perfect in your language. Xerox and bring copies to
class to have other students underline or adapt. For example, ask others to
list 4 or 5 actions in the past noted in a selection, then starting with the
most recent past tenses, have students transpose section to the past Perfect.
Have others select a passage with a sharp description to sketch out or to act
out while being read aloud. Find a short piece of poetry that evokes strong
images, moods and atmosphere to bring to class for a swap and discussion. For
each project, make a list of relevant works, authors and poets to help narrow
the scope of each hunt. Pull up authentic passages to have students underline
grammatical aspects in an interesting context.

excellent site for FLES and MS beginners, with games in Spanish
- Donquijote.org free membership to access online
recipes, weekly grammar exercises, jokes and words of the day in
Spanish. This site offers teachers
corner, locations for Spanish study, a section on baby names in Spanish,
language activities and even your horoscope, changed weekly.
- Spanish - learn it
online: conjugate Spanish verbs online using the verb conjugation
trainer: select the verb type,
the tense (Present; Preterite;
Imperfect; Subjunctives and Conditional) then complete the online exercises.

learning includes grammar, pronunciation, reading, speaking, vocabulary,
writing; test your French sections and much more.
- Frenchassistant.com test yourself online: register and compete with
others throughout the world.

- Lexique Francais Langue Etrangere
