Choose the SEARCH button on your libraries homepage to find a book by a certain author or title, or related to a keyword. Then select the title, subject, and note field to search. Also select "contain" so that the computer looks for your keyword within the fields you selected. Finally, select Return "100" results per page so that all your results are easily viewed on the same page.

Your results list gives you many options. It shows you how many titles the library owns that have your keyword contained in the fields you selected. It will allow you to link to full bibliographic records for all of your results. It provides the library Location and call number for each result and indicates if it is on the shelf or checked out. It also allows you to select a title to save to a list that you may then print.

Another useful search feature is Browse. There are many options in Browse, however, once you have determined the call number of your subject it is possible to view what books are available on the shelf in a specific call number. Because of the way the Dewey Decimal Classification System works, you may be able to find books near your specific call number that contain information about the same subject. To do this, select Local Call number, enter your call number, and click on Search. Scroll through the results list to get an idea of what books are on the shelf related to your subject.
