Important information about Overdue and Lost books

Resources may be renewed up to three times.

Overdue notices are handed out during library class to students.
Students are responsible for bringing the notice home.

If the book is not returned 7 days after the third overdue notice,
the book appears as “lost” in the online catalog
and a bill is sent home to parents to help cover replacement costs.

Throughout the school year parents can return lost books
and receive a credit or refund.
However, at the end of the school year,
families cannot be refunded after June 2.

Overdue and lost books are a fact of life!
Please do not worry too much about lost books.
We are happy our circulation records show above average use of our collection.
Your children are reading and enjoying literature and that is what matters most.
