I’m From Where??

Where I’m from I have potential to be what ever

I’m from help and from hope I’m from people who are clever

I’m from inspiration I’m from motivation

I’m from the past I’m from learning I’m from waiting

I’m from moms good cooking like chicken and rice

I’m from vegetables and fruits I’m from water with no ice.

I’m from laughing at the table and sharing our days

I’m from Christmas dinners and Thanksgiving days

I’m from parents who are strong with morals that are stronger

I’m from a school where day is long and the nights are even longer

I’m from football practice, fitness, and knee injuries

I’m from leaving school exhausted of all energy.

I’m from friends who are distant I’m from friends who are close

I’m from conservative friends I’m from friends who boast

I’m from hanging out at night with cousins who laugh

I’m from a complex future and a humbling past

I’m from complexity but also simplicity

I’m from full clarity but I’m a complete mystery

I’m from self education cause I’m from very poor schools

I’m from being foolish but not liking fools

I’m from the outside looking in but also looking out

I’m from being sure of who I am but also having some doubts

I’m from trying to fit in trying to laugh through my pain

I’m from being different but being different is me being the same.
