Where I am from…

I am from brothers and a sister,

Big family reunions and family board games.

From dogs, snakes, frogs, and fish,

To shopping trips in NYC with daddy.

I am from pizza, ice cream and candy,

Chicken stir fry and rice.

From Hershey kisses,  

To fudge Sundays with a cherry on top.

I am from pink fuzzy slippers,

Packages with big red ribbons.

From trampolines and tree swings,

To sunshine and sandy beaches.

I am from midnight pillow fights,

Traveling and new experiences.

From winter snow angels,

To Friday night sleepovers.

I am from “be yourself,” and “love life,”

“Dare to dream,” and “reach for the stars.”

From make your bed and brush your teeth,

To photo albums filled with memories.

I am from laughter and giggles,

Big hugs and bigger smiles.

From bedtime stories,

To real my real life fairy tale.

This is where I’m from.
