Where I Am From
By Tyreece Powell
I am from crowded beds and hours of horse play.
With cold pizza in the morning and cereal at night.
There is hot days and cold nights chalk up an down the streets.
I am from cat got your tongue and you win some you lose some.
I am from basketball hoops and football end zone.
I am from awards and gifts ,
With a little brother and little sis.
I am from piles of clothes and money to my toes.
I am from life and death so I ponder what is left
I am from long nights of partying and hours of studying .
I am from North Phil to South Phil
I am from the King to the Rec
I always stay fresh
I am from black Dickies and Tims
I always stay above the rim.
I am from dust to dust
And old bikes that gain rust
I am from the hard knock life and butter with rice.
I am from the generation it is birth of a nation
One day I will be above and everyone will show love
