Sherrerd Alumni House

Sherrerd Alumni House is a mid 18th century manor house that has been restored and enlarged by historic preservationist and architect Jim Garrison ’75 from the Hillier architectural firm.

All of us who “live” under this roof feel inspired by the knowledge that Jay Sherrerd ’47 chose this edifice to bear his and his wife Kathy’s (a former trustee) name.

Ham Clark chose the following words to describe Jay:

“Jay’s dedication, his humor, and his passion are amazing to behold. Through the years he has been an ardent advocate, a major philanthropist, and a dedicated leader.”

Jay was regarded as a most loyal alumnus and it is our hope that we will continue to strive to live up to his standard of excellence as an alumni organization. A tribute to Jay, our cozy home, Sherrerd  Alumni House, has a lot of character.

We are eager to welcome each and every one of you to explore our new home in Newtown Square.
