Transportation to the Campus

The Episcopal Academy is committed to supporting the transportation needs of its students. Outlined below is our transportation plan. As with any significant change, we know we may encounter situations we have not anticipated in our transportation planning.

Public School District Busing

The following public school districts have confirmed they will transport students residing within their district to the Newtown Square campus. Please contact the transportation department of your local school district for details on hub locations and schedules.

SEPTA R5/Paoli and Devon Local Shuttle

Shuttle service to the new campus from the Devon SEPTA station will be provided in the morning. Shuttle service will also be provided to Paoli at regular intervals throughout the afternoon and evening. Students should plan to board westbound or eastbound trains that will arrive in Devon by 7:30 a.m. The shuttle leaves the Devon Train Station at 7:35 a.m. After school riders will be able to make departing trains at 4:00 p.m. and again at 5:30 and 6:15 p.m. The shuttles to and from the Devon and Paoli SEPTA train stations are provided at no cost to families.

Philadelphia Options

Philadelphia School District buses 1st through 8th grade students. These buses are made up of only EA students. Upper School students residing in Philadelphia are encouraged to use the SEPTA R5 and the shuttle service described above.

For students not choosing to ride the train, Episcopal will make available a daily shuttle service. Students that qualify for financial aid will have their shuttle costs prorated at the same rate. For more detailed pricing and route information, please contact the business office at 484-424-1420.
