Student Support

As education is a process that goes far beyond books and study, students and parents/guardians frequently raise questions about school routine, sports, social matters, study habits, and issues of adolescence.

In the Middle School, each student is assigned an advisor.  The advisor and his student advisory group meet every day (for five minutes) in homeroom and twice per cycle during the designated advisory time.  Establishing relationships with advisors provides the opportunity for the students to engage with a trusted adult to discuss issues that are appropriate for their particular age.  It is hoped that this frequent contact will facilitate communication during those times when adolescent issues can possibly become a hindrance to a student’s academic, social, or behavioral well-being.
